The Requirement
Northwick Park Hospital, part of London North West University Healthcare NHS, sought to enhance their medication management system by introducing mobile drug workstations that would streamline access to digital drug charts and notes at the point of care.
After evaluating various options, none of the available carts fully met their requirements. Many were too bulky, lacked sufficient storage, and had inadequate locking mechanisms.
To address these challenges, Northwick Park Hospital collaborated with Agile Medical, leveraging our Listen, Design, Support methodology. This approach has proven successful in similar projects with other NHS Trusts.
Our Solution
Agile Medical introduced the Exura mobile drug workstations across Northwick Park Hospital.
These workstations feature:
- Medical drawers with secure, smart card entry
- High capacity drawer system
- Deep bottom drawer for upright storage of bottled medication
- Electronic height adjustment for staff comfort
- Compact footprint for easy manoeuvrability
The Exura workstations have significantly improved safety and efficiency, providing a reliable, high-capacity solution for the hospital’s needs.
